Dave Reeder, Entegris’ President and Chief Executive Officer, said: “Entegris is executing well against an attractive long-term opportunity, driven by increasing semiconductor complexity, rising materials intensity, and investment in leading-edge technologies. Our ability to deliver the performance, quality, and reliability our customers require is helping us expand plans of record and secure new design wins, driving strong revenue growth across our unit and capex businesses. That growth, combined with disciplined execution, drove another strong quarter, highlighted by record revenue, continued margin expansion and strong earnings growth, all of which exceeded our guidance range. We also delivered record cash flow, enabling us to accelerate debt repayment and further strengthen our balance sheet. We look forward to discussing the significant opportunities ahead for Entegris and our long-term strategy in more detail at our Capital Markets Day on November 9, 2026.”

Revenue growth

Reviewing a company’s long-term revenue performance reveals insights into its quality. Any business can deliver a good quarter or two, but the best consistently grow over the long haul. Over the last five years, Entegris grew its revenue at a solid 10.1% compounded annual growth rate. Its growth beat the average semiconductor company and shows its offerings resonate with customers. Semiconductors are a cyclical industry, and long-term investors should be prepared for periods of high growth followed by periods of revenue contractions.

Entegris quarterly revenue

Long-term growth matters most, but within semiconductors, a half-decade historical view may miss new demand cycles or industry trends like AI. Entegris’s recent performance shows its demand has slowed as its annualized revenue growth of 4.9% over the last two years was below its five-year trend. Decelerating revenue growth in the sector warrants caution, as it could signal changing consumer tastes aided by low switching costs. Entegris year-on-year revenue growth

This quarter, Entegris reported strong year-on-year revenue growth of 24.6%, and its $1.01 billion of revenue topped Wall Street’s consensus estimates by 8.6%. Beyond the beat, the company appears to be in the early stages of an upcycle as this was the third consecutive quarter of growth; a typical upcycle tends to last 8-10 quarters. Company management is currently guiding for a 26.2% year-on-year increase in revenue next quarter.

Looking further ahead, sell-side analysts expect revenue to grow 12.5% over the next 12 months, according to S&P. Although this projection indicates its newer products and services will spur better top-line performance, it is still below the sector average.

Product demand & outstanding inventory

Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO) is an important metric for chipmakers, as it reflects a business’s capital intensity and the cyclical nature of semiconductor supply and demand. In a tight supply environment, inventories tend to be stable, allowing chipmakers to exert pricing power. Steadily increasing DIO can be a warning sign that demand is weak, and if inventories continue to rise, the company may have to downsize production.

This quarter, Entegris’s DIO came in at 138, which is 4 days above its five-year average, suggesting that the company’s inventory levels are higher than in the past.

Key takeaways from Entegris’s Q3 results

Entegris’s operating income beat Wall Street’s consensus estimates by a wide margin, and EPS also topped analysts’ consensus estimates. Those beats made for a strong quarter with clear positives. Shares surged 5.2% to $167.68 immediately after the report.

Entegris had a solid quarter, but that alone does not make the stock a buy. The latest quarter matters, but longer-term business quality and valuation matter more when deciding whether to invest. For more on those factors, read the full research report here (it’s free).
