Two of passionate animal welfare nonprofits—Stray To Stay Outreach and SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare (SPCA Aiken)—are teaming up for an unforgettable evening of music, compassion, and community impact.
-- On October 11, 2025, the legendary Atlanta Rhythm Section (ARS) will take the stage at the Etherredge Center in Aiken for a one-night-only performance. But this isn’t just another concert—it’s a lifesaving benefit event for homeless dogs and cats across the Aiken region and beyond.
In a first-of-its-kind collaboration, Substantial Music Group and Emmy-winning music promoter Richard Smith—a former guitarist for Earth, Wind & Fire, Kenny Loggins, and Air Supply—have brought together these two animal rescues to host a concert with heart. Smith’s vision: create a platform where music can make a difference for animals in need.
What sets this event apart is the adoption drive taking place at the concert itself. Guests arriving early will have the chance to meet adoptable animals from both Stray To Stay and SPCA Aiken. These organizations, though unique in their missions—one focused on outreach and intervention to keep pets with their families, the other offering shelter and rehoming—share a common goal: to give every pet a chance at a better life.
“The energy of a live concert paired with the joy of adoption is a powerful combination,” said a representative from SPCA Aiken. “It’s about community, music, and saving lives.”
Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the show starting at 7:00 PM. Tickets and event information are available at www.AikenConcerts.com.
By attending, fans won’t just enjoy classic hits like “So Into You” and “Imaginary Lover”—they’ll be directly supporting the animal welfare heroes of Aiken.
This October, come for the music. Stay for the mission. **Rock and rescue with us.
