The Bellport lab brings advanced testing, full traceability, and distribution under one roof.

Chiplytics, a pioneer in microelectronics verification technology, today announced a $4.5 million funding round led by Scout Ventures and Waypoint Ventures and the opening of an inspection laboratory in Bellport, New York. The financing includes an Air Force Tactical Funding Increase (TACFI) award to advance Chiplytics’ inspection technology.

From COVID-19 to today’s memory crunch, semiconductor shortages show how a single point of failure can leave manufacturers without critical components for months. Many turn to independent distributors to keep production running, increasing exposure to counterfeit or noncompliant parts.

Verified by Chiplytics™, the company’s quality assurance platform, addresses these risks with inspection of every component, transparent pricing, and traceable test results. Chiplytics manages inspection, reporting, and compliance through its automated lab and integrated platform. It also handles procurement through a growing network of trusted suppliers.

The lab brings Chiplytics’ inspection technology into Quality King’s 600,000-square-foot flagship distribution center, supporting its QK Special Services (QKSS) division’s focus on supply chain resiliency. It combines electrical testing technology from Sandia National Laboratories with automated visual inspection and AS6171-aligned methods.

"Chiplytics closes a critical gap for our customers when parts are hard to source," said Justin Feig, CEO of QKSS. "Putting the lab inside our distribution center gives customers one accountable channel for sourcing, verifying, and delivering critical components, with faster turnaround and more complete verification."

"We make the part cost and our fee clear upfront, then use advanced inspection technology to verify the parts and document the results," said Stephen DiBartolomeo, co-founder of Chiplytics.

Additional investors include QKSS, Industrious Ventures, Interwoven Ventures, Seattle Alliance of Angels, and Cornell University's Red Bear Angels. The funds support lab buildout and hiring in testing and engineering.

Electronic component procurement teams and distributors can begin using Chiplytics for enhanced quality assurance and submit part requests today at chiplytics.com.
