AHF Statement on Department of Justice Settlement

AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) released the following statement on its recent Department of Justice settlement:

“AHF appreciates the opportunity to work with the Department of Justice to amicably resolve the allegations raised by the whistleblower. AHF, a nonprofit, has operated health plans for people living with HIV for 30 years and takes very seriously its responsibilities to use government funds well and wisely. We thank the DOJ for acknowledging our cooperation with its investigation and our proactive remediation. The weaknesses that were identified were not the result of any bad intent, and we have used the process to strengthen our compliance program.“
