The Pandemic and All-Hazards Preparedness Act will protect against disruptions to the nation’s supply of critical pharmaceuticals,” said Michael Weinstein, AHF president and cofounder. “AHF applauds U.S. Senators Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Bill Cassidy (R-La.) for the prize research study provision within PAHPA that will evaluate new models for biomedical research that do not rely on the for-profit motives of drug companies.
