The scholarship is funded by Goyal, a 2008 graduate of Bauer College. Goyal’s commitment is to grow this fund to at least $1 million.

Individual scholarships will be awarded based on both need and merit, and will be awarded to chosen recipients on an annual basis.

“As a first-generation American and the son of Indian immigrants, my path toward entrepreneurship and success has not always been easy,” said Goyal. “My time at Bauer College and the University of Houston played a major role in guiding me to where I am today, and I am honored to be able to give back through the formation of this annual scholarship. It is my hope that my contribution will play a role in creating the next generation of young business leaders in Houston and beyond.”

Following his graduation, Goyal worked at multiple investment and energy trading firms, before founding Three Pillars Capital alongside Josh Welch in 2017. The firm acquired its first property the same year, and has completed more than $500 million in transactions to date, spanning both the Texas and Oklahoma markets.

Goyal also founded and manages Three Pillars’ property management arm, Greenline Apartment Management, which currently manages more than 3,000 units in the Houston metro area, and performs all renovations and construction services for assets owned by Three Pillars.
