TORONTO, ON / ACCESSWIRE / March 27, 2024 / Continuum. Social (Headquarters: Toronto, Canada, Representative: Sergei Beliaev), which operates the "Cybertrophy" platform that utilizes Web3 and geosocial technology to encourage real-world actions and deepen connections with communities, has been selected for the "Thinking Together About the Cities of the Future Project" at the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion's "Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai Reborn Challenge Project" (hereafter referred to as Reborn Challenge) at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai (hereafter referred to as Osaka Expo). The company will exhibit at the pavilion to provide an experience of the shift from "things" to "events/experience" in future cities and create sustainable new communities on the Cybertrophy platform.

[Overview]
The "Reborn Challenge" is a support project aimed at discovering and supporting the participation of outstanding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups at the Osaka Expo. It effectively communicates symbolic achievements at the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion, not only during the Expo period but also during the preparation period and after the event. Fifteen companies and organizations are supporting SMEs and startups through 26 challenges.

Since its launch in Japan in March 2023, Continuum. Social has been working to revitalize communities through the use of Cyber Trophies at events. In August 2023, the company was selected for the Sakishima Tech Lab Program at the Sakishima Pre-Expo and has continued to conduct demonstration experiments. Recently, Continuum. Social applied for and was selected for the Reborn Challenge's "Thinking Together About the Cities of the Future Project," leading to its exhibition at the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion's exhibition booth.

[About Continuum. Social and Cybertrophy]
Continuum.Social was established in Toronto, Canada, in November 2021. In April 2023, it released the Web3 geosocial platform Cybertrophy globally, including in Japan. The company plans to establish a Japanese subsidiary in the future.

Cybertrophy is a smartphone app that utilizes Web3 and location-based geosocial technology to allow users to collect digital trophies. Users can freely create and distribute trophies, making it useful for proving visits to local areas and events, contributions to social activities, and reputations from users and customers. By using Web3 technology for trophies, it serves as a reliable countermeasure against fake news and inaccurate information.

Cybertrophy encourages users to share information based on actual experiences at specific locations or based on their experiences, participate in local businesses and events, revitalize local economies, and strengthen connections between participants. It contributes to the rediscovery of local attractions and sustainable urban planning, ultimately elevating the exploration of future cities and community bonding to new levels.

Beyond merely collecting digital trophies, Cybertrophy aims to enable users to build their reputations within communities through their actions, positively impact the real world, and contribute to the sustainability and quality of life in future cities. It embodies the increasingly important shift from "things" to "events" in future society and creates a positive cycle that encourages new participation and contribution.
