-- Non-profit organization Synergy Heals has announced a new donation drive to support the construction of clean water wells in rural communities across West Africa. The campaign sets a specific target: nationwide potable water access across Guinea by the end of 2027, with infrastructure expansion and community-level well projects as its primary tools.

Donations support the construction of community wells, long-term village water systems, and on-the-ground monitoring. Mosques and community organizations can sponsor complete water projects, with a full community well funded from approximately $10,000 to $12,000 and a complete clean water system supported at $15,000 to $20,000. Contributing groups have the option to dedicate a project in their name as part of the effort.

The need for this kind of targeted giving is acute. According to the World Health Organization, water scarcity affects one in three people across the African region, with the situation continuing to worsen due to population growth, climate pressures, and insufficient infrastructure. In rural West Africa, families regularly walk long distances to collect water from unsafe sources, placing their health and livelihoods at constant risk.

Guinea illustrates the scale of the challenge clearly. With a population of nearly 13 million, the country's rural communities face severely limited access to safe water. Synergy Heals notes that water scarcity affects every part of daily life in these areas — from household health to agricultural productivity — making clean water access one of the most impactful forms of humanitarian support available.

"Clean water is not just a health issue — it is the foundation of everything else a community can achieve," a Synergy Heals spokesperson said. "When families no longer have to spend hours searching for water, children can stay in school, women can pursue economic opportunities, and communities can begin to thrive. That is what this campaign is working toward."

Synergy Heals is a non-profit focused on bringing sustainable health solutions to underserved communities. Through its programs, the organization provides medical aid, health education, and essential resources aimed at improving quality of life across developing regions.
