The American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry estimates that children ages 8 to 12 spend an average of 4 to 6 hours on screens each day. Prolonged screen use has been linked to sleep disruptions, lower academic performance, and reduced social interaction.
Counteracting digital overload, Balance Adventure Camp emphasizes hands-on learning, creative arts, and active play, all rooted in the camp’s signature L.E.A.F. Method: Leadership, Exploration, Adventure, and Friendship.

A family-owned-and-operated camp, Balance Adventure is designed with working parents in mind, providing reliable childcare Monday through Friday with structured drop-off and pick-up at 8:00 a.m. and 4 p.m. The staff meets Colorado State licensing standards, with team members certified in First Aid and CPR. Campers are welcome to join for a week or for the whole summer.
