NEI, Neurodivergent Empowerment Institute, is offering monthly drum circles and sound healing sessions aligned with the new moon to offer next-level community healing.
ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA / ACCESS Newswire / January 22, 2026 / The Neurodivergent Empowerment Institute (NEI) will host its upcoming New Moon Circle Monthly, on the Sunday closest to the New Moon, offering a guided, trauma-informed community experience centered on the theme "Reset, Release, Reimagine."
Rooted in NEI's mission to support emotional regulation, self-understanding, and inclusive community spaces, the New Moon Circle provides a structured pause point within the lunar cycle; an intentional moment to slow down, reflect, and gently prepare for what comes next. The New Moon represents the beginning of a cycle, a quiet inhale before momentum builds. This gathering is designed to help participants, - especially those that are neurodivergent -release patterns, thoughts, or stressors that no longer serve them, while setting grounded intentions for the month ahead.
The practitioners at NEI take an empowerment-based modality to health & wellness; taking community seriously, knowing it is one of the peak ways to promote bettering one's mental health. The monthly sessions are a way to build routine, and discover more about your self, offering reflection for the previous month, and guiding intentions for the month ahead. Everything has been tailored for a premium experience, from start to finish, through the rest of the year.
This guided experience will include:
An opening Cacao Ceremony, a nervous-system regulation breathwork, a led drum circle, and a relaxing, spiritually repairing sound healing session.
The circle is open to neurodivergent individuals, caregivers, creatives, and community members seeking a calm, supportive space for reflection and reconnection. No prior experience with meditation, somatic work, or drum circles is required.
"At NEI, we believe regulation, reflection, and self-connection are essential skills - not luxuries," said a representative of the Neurodivergent Empowerment Institute. "The New Moon Circle creates a low-pressure, welcoming environment where people can slow down, feel safe, and reorient toward what matters to them."
Participants are welcome to bring a drum, if they have one, a yoga mat/cushion, a water bottle, and a journal. We do have some community drums available. No musical experience is necessary. Attendees are encouraged to arrive exactly as they are, in comfy clothes, and leave feeling clearer, lighter, and more connected - both to themselves and to the community around them.
