In 2021, Mr. Ward joined Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, where he continues to build on his expertise in insurance coverage. His legal career, however, began much earlier. He worked as a clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida from 2016 to 2021, where he developed an in-depth understanding of federal court procedures.

"Our goal is to provide support to underserved youth, helping them succeed both academically and emotionally," Mr. Ward says. He also contributes as an academic tutor at Hope High School, demonstrating his commitment to helping others.
In addition to his nonprofit work, Mr. Ward is an active member of several professional organizations, including the State Bar of Texas, the Florida Bar and the State Bar of California. He is also involved with the National Black Law Students Association and the Latino Law Student Association.
Looking Forward: Expanding Impact and Mentoring Attorneys
Mr. Ward's goals for the future encompass both personal and professional aspects. He aims to expand his role as coverage counsel, continuing to work on high-profile cases while expanding his network within the Houston market. "In the next five years, I want to grow my presence in insurance coverage and litigation," he says.
Mr. Ward also hopes to continue his work with Affirming Youth, expanding opportunities for underprivileged youth and helping them navigate life's challenges. "I want to ensure that these young people have the tools and support they need to succeed," he adds.
