The award was presented June 5, 2009, in Shenzhen, after completion of an annual customer preference survey conducted by Electronics Supply & Manufacturing, China (ESMC), one of China's top magazines for the electronics industry. ESMC is part of Global Sources, Inc., a large business-to-business media company in China. Achievement of the award was determined by Richardson Electronics’ combined overall survey score, which reflects the outstanding services provided by Richardson Electronics to China’s electronics manufacturing companies.
