Pioneer Investments Announces Annual Election of Trustees for Closed-End Funds

Pioneer Investment Management, Inc. announced today the results of the annual shareholder meetings for Pioneer Diversified High Income Trust (NYSE MKT: HNW), Pioneer Floating Rate Trust (NYSE: PHD), Pioneer High Income Trust (NYSE: PHT), Pioneer Municipal High Income Trust (NYSE: MHI), and Pioneer Municipal High Income Advantage Trust (NYSE: MAV). Shareholders of record as of the close of business on July 13, 2012 elected two Trustees for each fund, Thomas J. Perna and Marguerite A. Piret, each to serve a three-year term.

With respect to Pioneer Diversified High Income Trust, the holders of common shares voted to elect Mr. Perna and Ms. Piret as Trustees. With respect to Pioneer Floating Rate Trust, Pioneer High Income Trust, Pioneer Municipal High Income Trust and Pioneer Municipal High Income Advantage Trust, the holders of common shares and preferred shares of each fund voted on the respective nominees designated to be elected by such class of shares. Accordingly, Mr. Perna was elected by the holders of common and preferred shares of each of the funds and Ms. Piret was elected by the holders of preferred shares of each of the funds.

The joint shareholder meetings were held on September 18, 2012. With respect to Pioneer High Income Trust, the September 18, 2012 meeting was adjourned until October 23, 2012 to provide the fund’s preferred shareholders additional time to cast their votes.

The funds are closed-end investment companies. Four of these funds trade on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the following symbols: MHI, MAV, PHT, and PHD. HNW trades on the NYSE MKT. Pioneer Investment Management, Inc. is each fund’s investment adviser.

Keep in mind, dividends are not guaranteed. Closed-end funds, unlike open-end funds, are not continuously offered. There is a one-time public offering and once issued, common shares of closed-end funds are bought and sold in the open market through a stock exchange and frequently trade at prices lower than their net asset value. Net Asset Value (NAV) is total assets less total liabilities divided by the number of common shares outstanding.
