Alex Katz new original graphic “Tree 8” and “Tree 10” were published in october 2022. The artwork shows a tree against a blue sky in winter. In 2022, the first major retrospective of the artist Alex Katz will be held on the occasion of his 95th birthday. He now lives and works in New York. Under the title Alex Katz - Gathering, the Guggenheim Museum in New York is showing numerous paintings, drawings and graphics by Alex Katz. For this reason the FRANK FLUEGEL GALERIE has the new graphic editions Tree 8 and Tree 10 by Alex Katz in its program.

Tree 10 is a silkscreen by Alex Katz showing a tree in winter. It is a 10x screen print using transparent colors to build density and create soft transitions in values to capture the depth and painterly quality of the original image - the Essence of Beauty by Alex Katz, so to speak. Transparent blue tones contrast the azure sky with the austere shape of the tree. and its branches, which are in monochromatic tones. There are currently more original prints in preparation with the motifs “Straw Hat 1”, “Sunrise”, “Halsey” and “Grace”.

FRANK FLUEGEL GALERIE with locations in Nuremberg and Kitzbuehel has been focused on high quality originals of pop art, street art and contemporary art for over twenty years.

Many of the offered artworks can be bought and taken away by the collector immediately, because they are in stock. Due to high demand, prices of some artists can be expected to rise. Works can rise in price (this development in value is quite desirable for the investor) and old prices can lose their validity.
