Hembree Bell Law Firm, a family law firm based out of Austin, Texas, is helping aspiring writers of all levels collaborate on projects, engage in networking opportunities, and participate in special events, with the help of two New York Times bestselling authors.

Austin, Texas, March 7, 2024— On March 6th, writers from in and around Austin, Texas gathered at Great Hills Country Club to cultivate their craft and connect with like-minded individuals at ATX Write-In. They will have several more opportunities to do the same this year!
The Write-In, which occurs quarterly, provides a dynamic platform for writers to enhance their skills, share ideas, and receive valuable feedback. There is something for everyone to take from this supportive and inclusive community – whether they be an ambitious amateur writer or a seasoned author!
The event itself consists of an initial meet-and-mingle session, followed by an introduction from the hosts, and then a two-hour writing sprint, which is a type of writing exercise. During the sprint, writers write continuously for a predetermined period of time and do not stop to edit or evaluate their work. Many find that the exercise motivates them to get more words down on the page due to the strict time constraint.
The event is headed up by family lawyer Hannah Hembree Bell – the founding attorney of Hembree Bell Law, a divorce and family law firm located in Austin – who is, herself, an aspiring writer. ATX Write-In was born out of her own passion for the written word and a desire to build a community where others could develop their talents along with like-minded individuals. Bell is joined by two local authors, Chandler Baker and Alex Keister, who have both been listed on the New York Times bestseller list.
Together, these three are able to offer valuable insights, guidance, and inspiration to the group with their wealth of experience and expertise. Says Bell, “We’re thrilled to begin our second year hosting the ATX Write-In and provide a space where writers can come together, collaborate, and learn from each other. Our goal is to foster a supportive community where writers feel empowered to explore their creativity and pursue their writing goals.”
