Rich Castleberry of CENTURY 21 Everest hosted a pumpkin patch party at Centerville Community Park on October 5 for clients and local house hunters.

National Pumpkin Day is October 26, but Rich Castleberry got a head start. On October 5 the CENTURY 21 Everest REALTOR took over Centerville Community Park for his annual pumpkin patch party, handing out free pumpkins to clients and anyone in the area looking for a house.

Castleberry said hundreds of people come to the event each year. Families brought kids and grandkids, some in costume, to pick a pumpkin, play games and grab a free donut, with food trucks parked nearby. "We invite all of our clients, past clients, future clients, people we know and care about," said Castleberry, a local home expert who lives in Bountiful.

The party also gave him a seasonal comparison. "Picking a pumpkin is kind of like picking a house. There's so many different sizes and shapes," Castleberry said. "In this case the pumpkins are free. Unfortunately a house isn't free, but we do give free evaluations."
