Nova Warranty has updated its Corvette extended warranty coverage to reflect the rapidly expanding C8 performance lineup, including the recently introduced ZR1 and ZR1X models, as Chevrolet's Bowling Green facility moves into 2027 production while completing 2026 units.

The update addresses growing demand from owners of high-output Corvette models. The 2025 and 2026 ZR1 is powered by a 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged LT7 V8 producing 1,064 horsepower, with a manufacturer-estimated top speed of 233 mph when equipped with the ZTK Performance Package. The 2026 ZR1X pairs that engine with an electric front motor for a combined 1,250 horsepower and an all-wheel-drive configuration. As part of the revision, Nova Warranty has corrected earlier reference material that understated the ZR1's output, aligning its documentation with current factory specifications.

Nova Warranty administers two extended vehicle protection plans, Nova Powertrain and Nova Superior, both structured as Vehicle Service Programs rather than traditional insurance-backed warranties. The entry-level Nova Powertrain plan covers essential drivetrain components, including the engine, transmission, drive axle, basic electrical components, cooling system, and brakes. It includes 24-hour roadside assistance, towing, parts and labor, a rental car allowance, locksmith service, out-of-gas and dead battery assistance, and trip interruption coverage.

The Nova Superior plan extends coverage to include turbochargers and superchargers, all-wheel-drive and 4x4 systems, differential assembly, front and rear suspension, steering, climate control, fuel system, anti-lock braking, and a dedicated Hi-Tech Electronics category. That category covers components such as the ABS processor, mass airflow and map sensors, ignition and fuel management controls, position sensors, keyless entry and navigation modules, and factory-installed rear-view cameras. Both plans permit repairs at any licensed dealership or ASE-certified facility nationwide and include a 30-day money-back guarantee.

The coverage applies across the Corvette range, from the classic C4 through C7 generations to the current C8 Stingray, Grand Sport, Z06, and ZR1.

"The Corvette lineup has changed dramatically in a short period, and coverage documentation needs to keep pace with what these vehicles actually are," said a spokesperson for Nova Warranty. "When a flagship model produces more than a thousand horsepower, accuracy in describing that platform matters to the people who own it."

The spokesperson noted that reliability data provides useful context for owners weighing protection options. RepairPal assigns the Corvette a 3.0 out of 5.0 reliability rating with estimated average annual repair and maintenance costs of $737, and reports that roughly 22 percent of documented repairs are classified as severe or major.

"Extended protection is about matching a plan to how a specific vehicle is built and used," the spokesperson added. "That is the standard reflected in Nova Warranty customer reviews and in the way these plans are structured."

Nova Warranty is a direct administrator of Vehicle Service Programs specializing in coverage for luxury, exotic, and high-performance vehicles, as well as daily drivers. The company provides free quotes, transparent pricing, and daily customer support, and administers plans for a broad range of American, European, and Asian manufacturers.
