The application covers improved aversive formulations and coating methods designed to enhance the technology’s abuse-deterrent properties. If granted, the patent could extend protection for AVERSA (TM)-based products, including AVERSA (TM) FENTANYL, through 2046. Nutriband currently holds patents in 46 countries covering its technology, which incorporates aversive agents into transdermal patches to help prevent abuse, diversion, misuse and accidental exposure involving drugs with abuse potential, including opioids and stimulants.
