Contents First, the company behind the global webtoon platform Tappytoon, is heading to Anime NYC 2025 (August 21–24), where it will open an exclusive booth for its official merch shop, Club JEM. It marks Tappytoon's return after 7 years to the East Coast's largest anime convention, held at New York's Javits Center.

At the 'Club JEM from Tappytoon' booth #1330, fans can shop exclusive merchandise from Tappytoon’s popular Boys’ Love (BL) and romance-fantasy titles such as King's Maker, Wet Sand, and The Broken Ring: This Marriage Will Fail Anyway. The booth will feature dozens of Club JEM Edition items for sale, each custom-designed and newly produced in collaboration and with the comics' creators, from limited edition apparel to special keepsakes. Attendees can also join special events to receive unreleased photocards, giveaways, and exclusive gifts.

To promote the pre-sale of the English print edition of the BL webtoon King's Maker, published through Inklore/Penguin Random House (Aug. 2025), fans will have the opportunity to meet creators Kang Jiyoung and Haga at their first-ever U.S. signing event. Contents First announced its partnership with Penguin Random House in 2024, to bring popular Tappytoon titles such as Cherry Blossoms After Winter and The Broken Ring to U.S. and global readers to print.

King's Maker is a fantasy BL webtoon that follows the journey of Wolfgang Goldenleonard, a hidden prince who rises to claim the throne of a corrupt empire. His complex relationship with Shin Soohyuk, a cunning yet enigmatic noble, unfolds through a tale of love, revenge, and political intrigue. The series gained strong popularity on Tappytoon, and concluded in 2024 with Season 2, King's Maker: Triple Crown, bringing the epic saga to a dramatic and emotional close.

"As interest in webtoon merchandise and print editions continues to grow among U.S. fans, we're excited to meet them once again at Anime NYC," said Ernest Woo, Chief Strategy Officer at Contents First. "This time we get to introduce the talents of Kang Jiyoung and Haga, along with special Club JEM merch. Expanding our webtoon IP like this, from digital platforms to physical products, we're pushing for a more immersive and globally connected fan experience."
