Bill Shope Joins Tidal Partners

Having spent nearly three decades at the intersection of technology and finance, Bill’s expertise strengthens the growing M&A and strategic advisory firm that advises some of the largest tech companies in the world on complex transactions.

Bill has spent more than 25 years in technology and was one of Wall Street’s leading analysts, having covered Apple, Dell, HP, IBM and the broader computing hardware sector for 18 years while serving as a Managing Director at Credit Suisse and Goldman Sachs, where he was also Deputy Director of US Research. Over this period, Bill won multiple awards and accolades, including recognition by the Wall Street Journal and Institutional Investor as an industry expert and top stock picker. Bill’s leadership experience extends beyond banking as he continued his career as founder and CEO of an e-commerce startup and CFO of Humane. He graduated from Harvard with a BA in economics and is a Chartered Financial Analyst®. He lives in Westport CT with his wife and three children.
