Tech-enhanced, high-quality instructional materials feature virtual simulations, video libraries, and hands-on explorations to drive learning and engagement for students from all backgrounds
Motivating students’ interest in science is key to increasing their understanding and inspiring them to pursue STEM careers. To empower teachers to foster deep, engaged science learning, Kiddom has introduced Kiddom OpenSciEd courses for high school biology, chemistry, and physics. The full-year courses are now available for the 2025-26 school year.
Like Kiddom OpenSciEd for grades 6-8, the new high school curriculum provides high-quality instructional materials aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Resources and supports — such as teacher guides, modeling examples, and guidance for scientist circles — enable teachers to implement phenomena-based instruction effectively. In addition, pre-built editable presentations, dynamic assessments, and reporting streamline instruction and save time.
Within each unit, captivating storylines, investigations, and interactions with phenomena help students develop a deeper conceptual understanding, regardless of their previous exposure to science. The Kiddom OpenSciEd courses also include video libraries, virtual simulations, data visualizations, and digital science notebooks that actively engage students and help them make connections to the world around them.
“Students’ prior knowledge, experiences, and interest in science vary widely by the time they get to high school,” said Abbas Manjee, co-founder and chief academic officer at Kiddom. “Kiddom OpenSciEd helps teachers create accessible, relevant science experiences for every learner. With the new courses, high school teachers now have an evidence-based curriculum integrated with purposeful technology so they can spark curiosity, connect with students, and make science their favorite class.”
Kiddom is an OpenSciEd certified professional learning provider. It supports schools and districts with pedagogical and technological implementation, ensuring the process is tailored to teachers’ and students’ needs.
