SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA / ACCESS Newswire / October 29, 2026 / ACR Poker Stormer Marcelo Cartana finished 158th in October's $5 million guaranteed No-Limit Hold'em Venom PKO, earning $8,367 in prize money and bounties. Cartana secured his $2,650 entry through a qualification path that began with a $0.80 Survivor Flip Step Satellite.

Competing as "CartanaPoker," the Brazilian streamer progressed through qualifying steps priced at $6, $46 and $350 before obtaining his seat. He advanced to Day 2 with more than 100 big blinds. The NLH tournament recorded 2,143 entries and a $5,357,500 prize pool, exceeding its guarantee.

The ACR Stormers is an international poker streaming team whose members broadcast tournament and cash-game sessions on Twitch. The community provides hand reviews, giveaways and opportunities for viewers to follow players' decisions during their sessions.

Cartana's result accompanied three Brazilian final-table appearances in October's Dual Venom PKOs. Those finalists received approximately $259,000 combined, including bounties, with one finish in NLH and two in Pot-Limit Omaha.

Victor Pedote ("meteli goli") placed seventh in the NLH event for $104,088. In PLO, José Orlando ("Blessed33") finished fourth for $82,743, while Yuri Martins Dzivielevski ("vousconfus") took fifth for $72,634. Each total includes bounty winnings.

Across the Venom PKO tournaments, Brazilian entrants recorded 39 NLH and six PLO Day 2 qualifications.

Last month, Brazilian Ivanildo "chickenpastry" Limeira finished second in the $12 million guaranteed NLH Mystery Bounty Venom. Following a heads-up deal, his payout reached $779,154, including bounties.

Brazil's history in the Venom includes several champions. Gabriel "kingqueensuited" Tavares most recently won the April 2025 $10 million guaranteed NLH Venom, earning $1,505,240.
