Best Q4: Malibu Boats (NASDAQ: MBUU)

Founded in California in 1982, Malibu Boats (NASDAQ: MBUU) is a manufacturer of high-performance sports boats and luxury watercrafts.

Malibu Boats reported revenues of $200.3 million, down 5.1% year on year, outperforming analysts’ expectations by 4.8%. The business had an exceptional quarter with a solid beat of analysts’ EPS estimates and an impressive beat of analysts’ adjusted operating income estimates.

Although it had a fine quarter compared to its peers, the market seems unhappy with the results as the stock is down 20.8% since reporting. It currently trades at $30.42.

Weakest Q4: Harley-Davidson (NYSE: HOG)

Founded in 1903, Harley-Davidson (NYSE: HOG) is an American motorcycle manufacturer known for its heavyweight motorcycles designed for cruising on highways.

Harley-Davidson reported revenues of $687.6 million, down 34.7% year on year, falling short of analysts’ expectations by 3.8%. It was a disappointing quarter as it posted a miss of analysts’ motorcycles sold estimates.

Harley-Davidson delivered the slowest revenue growth in the group. As expected, the stock is down 7.2% since the results and currently trades at $24.91.

Smith & Wesson (NASDAQ: SWBI)

With a history dating back to 1852, Smith & Wesson (NASDAQ: SWBI) is a firearms manufacturer known for its handguns and rifles.

Smith & Wesson reported revenues of $115.9 million, down 15.7% year on year. This result lagged analysts' expectations by 3%. All in all, it was a slower quarter for the company.

The stock is down 13.5% since reporting and currently trades at $9.55.

MasterCraft (NASDAQ: MCFT)

Started by a waterskiing instructor, MasterCraft (NASDAQ: MCFT) specializes in designing, manufacturing, and selling sport boats.

MasterCraft reported revenues of $63.37 million, down 29.4% year on year. This number surpassed analysts’ expectations by 4.4%. More broadly, it was a mixed quarter as it also produced a solid beat of analysts’ EPS estimates but EBITDA guidance for next quarter missing analysts’ expectations.

The stock is down 6.7% since reporting and currently trades at $17.
