Berks Plastic Surgery has announced a Spring Body Contouring Event scheduled for Monday, April 13, 2025, at the practice's Wyomissing location. The event will offer attendees the opportunity to learn about the non-surgical fat reduction and skin tightening treatments CoolSculpting and Venus Legacy.
The event features two attendance options designed to accommodate different schedules and interests. Daytime appointments are available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for individuals seeking personalized body contouring consultations with the practice's clinical team. An evening educational presentation will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for those interested in learning more about how these technologies work and what results they can achieve.
CoolSculpting uses controlled cooling to target and eliminate stubborn fat cells in areas resistant to diet and exercise. The FDA-cleared treatment requires no surgery, no anesthesia, and minimal downtime, making it a popular option for patients looking to address localized fat deposits without a surgical procedure. Venus Legacy combines radiofrequency and pulsed magnetic fields to reduce the appearance of cellulite while tightening skin for a smoother, firmer contour. Both treatments are performed in-office and allow patients to return to normal activities immediately.
“Spring is a natural time for patients to think about their body confidence goals,” said Brian K. Reedy, MD, board-certified plastic surgeon at Berks Plastic Surgery. “This event gives people a chance to explore non-surgical options in a relaxed, no-pressure environment and get their questions answered by experienced providers.”
Dr. Reedy emphasized the importance of seeking non-surgical aesthetic treatments from a physician-supervised practice with comprehensive expertise. Unlike standalone medspas, Berks Plastic Surgery operates under his direct oversight and offers dermatology, medspa, and surgical services under one roof. This structure allows providers to evaluate each patient from all three perspectives and recommend the most appropriate treatment pathway.
“When it comes to any aesthetic treatment, the skill and experience of your provider matters," Dr. Reedy said. “Patients should look for a practice where trained medical professionals are performing treatments and a physician is involved in their care plan. That level of oversight makes a real difference in safety and results.”
The practice's medspa team includes nurse injectors with more than a decade of combined experience, along with licensed aestheticians and a board-certified physician assistant specializing in dermatology. This integrated model allows the team to address a wide range of concerns, from surgical body contouring and breast procedures to injectables, laser treatments, and medical-grade skincare. Patients benefit from coordinated care and access to multiple treatment options without needing to visit separate providers.
“Not every patient needs surgery, and not every patient is a candidate for non-surgical treatments,” Dr. Reedy added. “Having all of these services in one place means we can guide patients toward the option that will actually help them reach their goals, rather than being limited to one approach.”
Berks Plastic Surgery has served the greater Reading area for more than 20 years, drawing patients from Lancaster, Allentown, Harrisburg, and Philadelphia. The practice has been recognized as a Berks County People's Choice Winner 17 times, and Dr. Reedy has been named to Newsweek's “America's Best Plastic Surgeons” list from 2021 through 2024. Dr. Reedy operates in an on-site accredited surgery center.
