(Matthew Du, NewsUSA Reporter) -

Global fast fashion company H&M partnered with Southeast Asia's largest bank, DBS Bank Singapore, to innovate a sustainable fashion supply chain. The Swedish fast fashion giant is the second-largest retailer in the world and has enacted changes to achieve an ethical and sustainable brand.

H&M aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across the supply chain by at least 90% and achieve net zero in 2040. They already have a sustainable clothing collection called H&M Conscious, which uses organic cotton and recycled synthetic threads.

With DBS, H&M developed a green loan program to "decarbonize" the retailer's supply chain. H&M's suppliers can get DBS financing and sustainability consultation to minimize environmental impact.
