Allison is about to launch her new book Cora and The Brilliant Purple Butterfly the interactive child’s diary through illness. She take personal life experience to tell the story about a little girls journey with cancer. Plus all characters in the book hold a special place in her life.

About Allison Byrd-Haley
Allison Byrd-Haley has taken on various roles in health care for the past 27 years. She has volunteered for different projects in the community to make a difference. The non-profit, Heavenly Mimi, was started in memory of her mom, who lost her battle with cancer in 2011. Her goal is to help those that are diagnosed with cancer who battle with the financial hardships of cancer treatments. Allison understands having a financial hardship herself because of her personal experience with it in 1998 with her son’s cancer diagnosis. Allison wants to help those in the situation that she was in at one time in her life. She strives every day to empower those she comes into contact with.
