Initial acquisition demonstrates execution of the Fund’s strategy to deploy capital into Rockport-operated, short-cycle development opportunities

Rockport Companies (“Rockport”), a veteran-owned oil and gas operator and investment manager, today announced the first acquisition for the Rockport Energy Fund, LP (the “Fund” or “REF”). The acquisition, which closed in June 2026 ahead of the Fund’s anticipated first close, consists of a drill-ready Permian Basin development project in Reeves County, Texas. Referred to as Project Bravo, the project comprises a 40% working interest in a Rockport-operated development program.

The acquisition is the Fund’s inaugural project and reflects the strategy outlined at REF’s launch in September 2025: directing investor capital into a diversified portfolio of short-cycle, drill-ready, Rockport-operated projects in proven U.S. oil and gas basins. By securing the project prior to the Fund’s first close, Rockport positions investors to enter a fund with an active, execution-ready asset rather than a pipeline of prospective opportunities.

“Securing our inaugural acquisition ahead of the Fund’s first close demonstrates the execution model we committed to our investors at launch,” said Ted Williams, Chief Executive Officer at Rockport. “We believe that Project Bravo reflects exactly how we designed the Fund to operate—identifying high-quality, drill-ready assets in a basin we know well, underwriting them with discipline, and deploying investor capital as projects move into execution. We believe this acquisition provides investors immediate exposure to an attractive, Rockport-operated asset while establishing the foundation for a diversified portfolio of similar opportunities. We have a pipeline of additional opportunities with a similar profile executable over the coming quarters, including a second Fund project now under a letter of intent that we expect to announce upon closing.”

Project Bravo is located in the core of the Permian Basin, one of North America’s most productive oil-producing regions. The project benefits from direct-offset well performance, validated at underwriting against data from more than 200 surrounding wells. This depth of technical data supports production forecasting, consistent with Rockport’s institutional underwriting process. Existing midstream infrastructure in the area provides established offtake for both oil and gas production, reducing execution risk between drilling and first sales.

“Project Bravo demonstrates the type of proprietary, Rockport-operated projects this Fund was designed to capture,” said Dax Atkinson, Chief Investment Officer at Rockport. “Our investors are entering a Fund with a live project rather than a strategy on paper. By combining Rockport’s operating expertise with an institutional fund structure, we provide real asset investors access to a diversified portfolio of directly sourced oil and gas investments supported by disciplined underwriting, transparent reporting, and active operational oversight. We view Project Bravo as the first in a growing pipeline of near-term projects that fit this mandate.”
