Bookkeeper360, a leading provider of cloud-based accounting and advisory solutions for small and mid-sized businesses, today announced the appointment of David Emmerman as Chief Operating Officer. Emmerman will step into the COO role as Terry Rubenfeld, who has played a key role in the company’s growth over the past decade, transitions to Chief Financial Officer and Director of Advisory Services.
David Emmerman brings deep industry expertise and a proven track record of scaling accounting firms through strategic growth and acquisitions. Throughout his career, he has successfully built, acquired, and integrated accounting practices, driving operational efficiency and long-term value creation. Most recently, he spent eight years leading the Enterprise team at Xero Accounting Software, where he was instrumental in expanding the company’s footprint within the accounting profession and strengthening partnerships with top firms across the U.S.
“Joining Bookkeeper360 as COO is an incredible opportunity to help accelerate the company’s next phase of growth,” said David Emmerman. “I’m inspired by the team’s commitment to empowering business owners with clarity and confidence, and I’m excited to build on that momentum as we scale our operations, expand through M&A, and continue enhancing our proprietary software platform.”
“David’s experience sits right at the intersection of firm operations, technology, and growth, which is exactly where our industry is headed,” said Nick Pasquarosa, Founder and CEO of Bookkeeper360. “He understands how to scale modern accounting organizations, and we’re excited to have him help lead our next phase of growth.”
Pasquarosa added, “As Dave joins the team, we have also been investing heavily in both our client experience and our internal practice management platform. On the client side, customers benefit from access to dashboards and reporting, cash flow visibility, and BOLT™, our AI-powered chat and financial insights feature, available across iOS, Android, and web. These tools give clients a more intuitive way to monitor performance, ask questions, and access real-time financial intelligence. Internally, our team uses the same core platform that streamlines advanced workflows, quality control, tasks, time and billing, file management, tax organizers, and client data analysis. Today, we manage our entire eight-figure revenue firm exclusively on our own software, which creates a more seamless, connected, and elevated experience for both our team and our clients. Our platform will serve as a cornerstone of our next phase of growth as we scale through M&A and help transition more traditional, less tech-forward CPA firms into a modern, technology-enabled model.”
In addition to the leadership transition, Bookkeeper360 announced that Joe Campolo, Managing Partner of Campolo, Middleton & McCormick, LLP, and CEO of Strata Alliance, a multi-family office, has joined the company’s Board of Directors. Campolo brings extensive experience advising high-growth companies, with a strong background in corporate strategy, governance, and capital markets.
“I’m proud to be joining the Board at Bookkeeper360. Nick has been ahead of the curve for years in recognizing the impact that technology and AI will have on the accounting industry. As a result, the company is exceptionally well positioned to continue gaining market share and building enterprise value as it moves into its next phase of growth,” said Campolo.
These leadership updates come at a time of continued momentum for Bookkeeper360, as the company expands its proprietary technology platform and advisory capabilities to better serve small businesses nationwide.
