The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Rockland Trust with respect to their recent data breach. On May 15, 2024, a vendor for Rockland Trust accidentally shared certain individuals’ personal information with a third-party. Rockland Trust immediately contacted the third-party involved and received confirmation the personal information they accessed had been deleted. On September 5, 2024, Rockland Trust reported the data breach to the Vermont Attorney General.
