The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Kootenai Health and its subsidiaries, Kootenai Clinic, Kootenai Outpatient Surgery, and Kootenai Outpatient Imaging with respect to their recent data breach. On March 2, 2024, Kootenai became aware of an unauthorized cybersecurity incident on their network. Kootenai immediately launched an investigation into the incident. The investigation determined that an unauthorized party accessed certain individuals’ sensitive information on Kootenai’s network on or around February 22, 2024. Kootenai began sending notices to affected individuals on August 12, 2024.

The type of information potentially exposed includes:

• Social Security number
• date of birth
• driver’s license or other government-issued ID
• health insurance
• medical information
