The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Texas Retina Associates (“Texas Retina”) with respect to their recent data breach. On March 27, 2024, Texas Retina detected unusual activity on our network. After identifying this, Texas Retina took steps to evaluate and ensure the security of our systems and networks. Further, we immediately engaged third-party independent cybersecurity experts to investigate the incident. Our investigation determined that an unauthorized actor accessed our systems beginning on October 8, 2023, and, as a result, may have accessed or obtained certain files.

The personal information contained within the impacted data included first and last name, address, phone number, email address, date of birth, gender, Social Security number, medical record number, clinical information, prescription information, medical information, health information, and/or health insurance information. The types of impacted information varied by individual.
