The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Wilton Reassurance Company with respect to their recent data breach. On July 25, 2023 and August 3, 2023, Wilton Reassurance Company notified individuals that the company experienced a data breach after an unauthorized party accessed sensitive consumer data entrusted to the company. The breach was discovered on June 7, 2023. According to Wilton Reassurance Company, they determined that information moved through file transfer tool, MOVEit Transfer by their third-party service provider, PBI Research Services, may have been subject to unauthorized access between May 29, 2023 and May 30, 2023. Wilton Reassurance Company determined that the minimum information exposed in the data breach includes: name and Social Security number.
