The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (“COHCPF”) with respect to their recent data breach. On August 11, 2023, COHCPF notified individuals that the company experienced a data breach after an unauthorized party accessed sensitive consumer data entrusted to the company. The breach was discovered on June 13, 2023. According to COHCPF, they determined that information moved through file transfer tool, MOVEit Transfer may have been subject to unauthorized access May 28, 2023. COHCPF determined that the information exposed in the data breach includes: name, Social Security number, medical information and health insurance information.
