TA' XBIEX, MALTA / ACCESS Newswire / June 23, 2026 / The IT Ukraine Association - the leading industry body representing Ukraine's technology sector - has appointed Max Zorian, Founder and CEO of QArea, as its Ambassador to the French market. The role marks the Association's first official representation in France and reflects the growing strategic importance of the country for Ukrainian IT.
The appointment recognises Max Zorian's role as one of the longest-serving leaders in the Ukrainian IT industry. He founded QArea in 2001 and has led the company for over 25 years, building partnerships with international clients including HuffPost, Skype, and Dashlane. Max is a Member of the European Business Association and has been actively involved in international business communities representing the Ukrainian technology sector.

About the role
France has become one of the fastest-growing destinations for Ukrainian technology partnerships. Initiatives such as Viva Technology, La French Tech Kyiv, and joint programmes co-funded by the French Government and the European Union have created a foundation for deeper cooperation. As Ambassador, Max will work on a voluntary basis to:
Develop enterprise and mid-market partnerships between Ukrainian IT companies and French businesses, with focus on financial services, industrial software, healthcare, and retail technology
Position Ukrainian engineering quality and delivery culture as a competitive advantage for European businesses requiring mature processes and long-term reliability
Build industry-to-industry connections between the IT Ukraine Association and key French business organisations, including industry associations, chambers of commerce, and sector-specific clusters
Support Ukrainian participation in major French industry events, including Viva Technology
What it means for QArea and our clients
For QArea, this appointment continues a tradition of representing Ukrainian engineering excellence on the international stage - a tradition that began in 2001 and has grown across multiple European markets. For our French clients and partners, it means a direct line into one of Europe's most active IT industry networks and access to the broader ecosystem of over 120 Ukrainian technology companies represented by the Association.
"France is one of the most mature technology markets in Europe, and one where Ukrainian IT has been steadily building its presence over the past few years - through Viva Technology, La French Tech, and direct partnerships between companies. My job as Ambassador is to turn that early momentum into a structured network: more partnerships, more joint projects, and a clearer understanding of what Ukrainian IT can offer to French businesses. There is real demand here, and our industry is ready to meet it." - Max Zorian, Founder & CEO of QArea.
