BELLEVILLE, ILLINOIS / ACCESSWIRE / January 23, 2025 / The National Children's Cancer Society (NCCS) is excited to announce its newest signature fundraising event, An Evening with the Blues! Scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the historic St. Louis Union Station Hotel, An Evening with the Blues will bring together hockey fans, community members, and supporters for a night of unforgettable entertainment. The event will feature National Hockey League Hall of Fame legends Brett Hull and Chris Pronger, along with former Blues winger and founder of Blues Special Hockey, Kelly Chase, adding an exciting new chapter to the organization's tradition of uniting sports and philanthropy in the St. Louis area.

"Blues fans are really going to enjoy all of the stories Brett, Chris, and Kelly share about their careers on the ice! These great stars bring a unique perspective about the game of hockey and the individuals they played with and competed against," said Mark Stolze, NCCS President and CEO.

Previous NCCS events welcomed some of baseball's most iconic players, including Lou Brock, Red Schoendienst, Bob Gibson, Willie McGee, Ozzie Smith, Tim McCarver, Tony La Russa, and many more. These legends helped the NCCS to raise over $1.5 million to support families facing childhood cancer.

In addition to the chance to meet hockey greats Brett Hull, Chris Pronger, and Kelly Chase, attendees will enjoy incredible silent and live auctions. From unique memorabilia to exclusive experiences, the auctions will offer something for everyone, with all proceeds directly benefiting children with cancer and their families.

A hallmark of this event is the opportunity to honor a family supported by the NCCS. Each year, the evening shines a spotlight on a family's courageous journey through childhood cancer, bringing the mission of the NCCS to life and reminding guests of the impact their support has on real families.

Funds raised during An Evening with the Blues will continue to support critical NCCS programs, including transportation assistance, emergency financial aid, educational resources, and emotional support that ensure no family faces childhood cancer alone.
