ANIL UZUN Talks about Carbon Label in Travel

By: Get News

ANIL UZUN is a long-time traveller and a climate warrior that has been moving around the world for so many years. He is known for his fight for Responsible & Ethical Travel.

“Many Ethical Travellers have been suggesting a new step in the categorization of facilities that serve in tourism. It is the carbon label. Today many travellers look at the number of pools or the size of the breakfast buffet as they book, but we want people to weigh up the carbon emissions of each facility. Today many international travel companies have already introduced carbon labels at the beginning of 2021,” says ANIL UZUN

Sustainable Travel Reports coming from all different companies suggest that the pandemic has made people want to travel more sustainably in the future. To help people make good travel decisions the carbon label is introduced. And the label is not just travellers but also for the companies themselves; about them knowing what their carbon footprint is and taking the next steps to do something about it.

“Carbon Label is also very important for transparency and change across the travel industry.

“As you know many facilities make empty promises for greenwashing. A third-party carbon consultant will determine if the fully measured footprint is in compliance with the carbon label. We really need tourism to truly become more responsible.” ANIL UZUN continues.
