Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ:HURN), a leading provider of financial and operational consulting services, today announced its inclusion in BusinessWeek’s annual list of Hot 100 Growth Companies. This is Huron’s first time on the Hot Growth list and the Company debuted with a ranking of No. 22.

Huron’s revenues grew from $35.1 million in 2002 (operations commenced in May 2002) to $288.6 million in 2006, resulting in a compounded annual revenue growth rate of 53%. Since going public in October 2004, Huron’s earnings per share have grown at a compounded annual growth rate of 46%.
Headquartered in Chicago, the Company has grown from 213 people in May 2002 to more than 1,200 people today. Huron recently celebrated its five-year anniversary and opened its first office overseas in Tokyo, Japan. Since its inception, Huron has conducted more than 3,400 engagements for more than 1,700 clients. In 2006, Huron was named one of the best consulting firms to work for by Consulting Magazine.
BusinessWeek identified this year’s hot growth companies by using Standard & Poor's Compustat database of 10,000 public companies. The businesses with annual revenues of $50 million to $1.5 billion were then ranked by three-year sales, earnings growth and return on capital.
