The Stanley Works has announced that it has now received valid acceptances to its previously announced cash offer of £3.00 (US$5.46) per share for the outstanding share capital of Blick plc (London Stock Exchange: BLK.L) of approximately 93.3% and that it will exercise its right to compulsorily acquire all remaining outstanding Blick shares. |

New Britain, Connecticut, January 23, 2004 The Stanley Works (NYSE: SWK) has announced that it has now received valid acceptances to its previously announced cash offer of £3.00 (US$5.46) per share for the outstanding share capital of Blick plc (London Stock Exchange: BLK.L) of approximately 93.3%. Accordingly, Stanley has announced that it will exercise its right to compulsorily acquire all remaining outstanding Blick shares. |
