Section 8 — Other Events
On June 26, 2008, the Registrant issued a press release announcing that its Board of Directors
had approved a delay in construction and start-up of a new poultry complex in Kinston, North Carolina.
A copy of the press release is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein. In
addition, on June 27, 2008, the Registrant held a conference call to discuss the announcement. A
transcript of the call is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.2.
