ITEM 8.01: OTHER EVENTS
The Board of Directors of Bar Harbor Bankshares (the "Company") voted at its meeting held on December 18, 2007 to elect Gerald Shencavitz, the Company’s current Chief Financial Officer, as an Executive Vice President of the Company. Mr. Shencavitz has served as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President since June, 2001.
