Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.
As previously disclosed in the Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q of AmerisourceBergen Corporation (the "Company") filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on February 6, 2018, after U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspections, the Company voluntarily suspended production activities in December 2017 at PharMEDium's 503B outsourcing facility located in Memphis, Tennessee, pending execution of certain remedial measures.
Production at PharMEDium's Memphis outsourcing facility remains voluntarily suspended while the Company completes certain remediation measures. The Company is in active communication with the FDA, plans to provide a further update to the agency upon the completion of such remediation measures, and is working to resume production at the Memphis facility as soon as possible thereafter. The Company will provide a financial update when it reports its fiscal second quarter results. That announcement and conference call will take place before the market opens on Tuesday, May 8, 2018.
The Company's top priority remains patient safety and the Company is dedicated to achieving full regulatory compliance. There is compelling patient need and significant market demand for safe and effective compounded sterile preparation products.
