What is the market telling us
Verisk’s shares are somewhat volatile and have had 12 moves greater than 5% over the last year. In that context, today’s move indicates the market considers this news meaningful but not something that would fundamentally change its perception of the business.
The previous big move we wrote about was 1 day ago when the stock gained 3.7% on the news that the company reported third-quarter 2026 financial results that showed revenue and diluted adjusted earnings per share growth. According to the company's release, revenue rose to $809 million, or 7.4% on an organic constant-currency basis. Adjusted earnings rose to $1.96 a share. Reported profit was a bit lower. Cash flow was lower than a year ago, mainly because of the timing of collections, higher interest payments, and a tax refund last year that did not repeat. The company also paid its regular dividend and bought back stock.
Verisk is down 8% since the beginning of the year, and at $203.38 per share, it is trading 9.6% below its 52-week high of $225.07 from November 2025. Investors who bought $1,000 worth of Verisk’s shares 5 years ago would now be looking at only $946.31.
ONE MORE THING: The $21 AI Application Stock Wall Street Forgot. While Wall Street obsesses over who’s building AI, one company is already using it to print money. And nobody’s paying attention.
AI chip stocks trade at ridiculous valuations. This company processes a trillion consumer signals monthly using AI and trades at a third of the price. The gap won’t last. The institutions will figure it out. You need to see this first. Read the FREE Report Before They Notice.
