New next-generation products and multiyear pricing provide farmers greater choice and certainty, while company invests millions of dollars through its grant program to support the next generation of American farm families
Pivot Bio, one of the world’s leading agtech companies, today outlined its latest product, innovations and commitments for farmers in the 2027 growing season. The company shared more information on its latest generation of crop nutrition technology for corn, cotton and sorghum, as well as continued investments designed to give growers more fertilizer options, greater predictability and value from their nitrogen programs.
The updates were announced by Chris Abbott, chief executive officer of Pivot Bio, at the 2026 Farm Progress Show, the latest stop on the company’s Year of One Million Thanks Buddy Seat Tour. Over the past few weeks, Abbott has been joined by farmers, policymakers, business and industry leaders to talk about the most pressing issues and opportunities facing American farmers and to deliver solutions to these challenges and opportunities. The tractor has already traveled more than 3,000 miles from its kickoff at Busch Stadium to Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Georgia and Wisconsin, including appearances at the Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa State Fairs.
The conversations Abbott has had with farmers and others in the buddy seat have been meaningful and direct.
“Farmers are making some of their most important decisions in an environment shaped by tighter economics, volatile fertilizer markets and increasingly complex crop nutrition choices,” Abbott said. “Our job is to keep advancing the technology while also finding practical ways to give farmers more control over the things we can help influence, from how nitrogen performs in the field to how they plan across seasons and generations.”
Advancing the Next Generation of Crop Nutrition
At the center of Pivot Bio’s 2027 portfolio is Pivot Bio PROVEN® G3+, the next evolution of the company’s third-generation microbial nitrogen technology for corn. Pending applicable state registrations, PROVEN G3+ is expected to be commercially available for the 2027 growing season and builds on PROVEN G3, an established source of nitrogen delivered at the root, with new early-season crop nutrition capabilities designed to support root development, nutrient access and increased yield.
That added functionality comes from the combination of the company’s seed fluency and micronutrient platform, called NUCORE+™, combined with its PROVEN G3 product. Designed to work alongside Pivot Bio’s proprietary nitrogen-fixing microbes, NUCORE+ supports a stronger early-season foundation, while PROVEN G3 continues supplying nitrogen at the roots as crop demand increases.
Together, the technologies create a more complete season-long crop nutrition system designed to improve nutrient use efficiency and help farmers get more performance from their broader fertility program. PROVEN G3+ is planned across on-seed, liquid in-furrow and dry application methods.
Greater Predictability Across Growing Seasons
The expanded 2027 portfolio builds on actions Pivot Bio has taken throughout 2026 to give farmers more control over nitrogen planning and economics.
Earlier this year, the company introduced a first-of-its-kind multiyear nitrogen price and supply assurance program that allows participating growers and retailers to lock in consistent pricing for Pivot Bio nitrogen solutions across three seasons. As growers make fertilizer and crop input decisions for 2027, the program provides greater certainty around both price and supply in a market where costs and availability are expected to remain extremely volatile.
The company’s commitment is backed by increased U.S. production and a domestic supply chain, giving farmers greater certainty around nitrogen availability and costs and helping them plan ahead and manage risk across multiple growing seasons.
Pivot Bio has also continued advancing its industry-leading Best Management Practices to help growers get the most from that nitrogen in the field. Current recommendations position Pivot Bio as a foundational source within a grower’s nitrogen plan, replacing preplant or less-efficient nitrogen while maintaining in-season applications. Field performance data and results across Pivot Bio products are available at PivotsProvenIt.com.
“We aren't developing technology simply for the sake of innovation. Our products have been proven across thousands of trials with farmers and universities to solve real on-farm challenges,” Abbott said. “That means delivering nitrogen reliably, making the technology easy to incorporate into existing practices and continuing to improve the economics for growers. Everything we are bringing forward for 2027 is being built around those priorities.”
Investing in the Future of Farm Families
Pivot Bio’s investment in farmers also extends beyond crop nutrition.
At the Farm Progress Show, the company announced a multi-million commitment through Pivot Pathways: A Generation Grant, expanding its investment in farm families and the next generation of American agriculture.
Beginning with the 2027 growing season, eligible farmer customers can receive annual Generation Grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 per farm family to support a child, grandchild or someone connected to the future of the farm, with the opportunity to invest those funds through a Trump Account.
Built on the belief that strong farms create strong communities, Pivot Pathways reflects a longer-term commitment to the families who sustain American agriculture. The program is designed to help families invest in their children’s futures and create additional opportunities for the next generation, whether they ultimately return to the farm, pursue careers in agriculture or follow another path.
Pivot Bio’s support of the farmer has been unwavering, and to continue that support the company launched its Year of One Million Thanks Buddy Seat Tour, a year-long effort launched in July 2026 to listen directly to farmers and bring their perspectives into broader conversations about the future of agriculture. Traveling aboard a donated working family tractor, this grassroots tour is bringing growers together with leaders from business, government, academia and agriculture while directing attention and support toward the people and organizations helping strengthen farm families and rural communities.
Along the route, Pivot Bio is also making targeted investments in organizations focused on agricultural education, farmer support and the long-term vitality of rural America.
“I’ve spent a lot of this year sitting beside farmers and asking them what they need from companies like ours,” Abbott said. “They need us listening, solving real problems and delivering technology that makes their businesses stronger. Everything we’re bringing forward for 2027 starts there: leading technology, greater certainty and a continued commitment to investing in farmers, their families and the future of American agriculture.”
Pivot Bio enters the 2027 growing season with a broader portfolio, next-generation crop nutrition technology and a continued commitment to invest in farm families and rural communities.
