GREENVILLE, SC / ACCESS Newswire / August 4, 2026 / Marquis Who's Who is proud to honor Rebekah Wright for her distinguished contributions to behavioral healthcare, hospital operations, strategic planning, employee development and mental health advocacy. Mrs. Wright's recognition reflects a career defined by continuous learning, servant leadership, authenticity and a commitment to supporting patients, families and frontline caregivers.

Mrs. Wright has served as chief operating officer of SpringBrook Behavioral Health since September 2024. The Level 4 locked psychiatric facility provides care for individuals experiencing severe behavioral and mental health crises who cannot safely remain at home, school or a lower level of care. In her role, Mrs. Wright oversees clinical and nonclinical staff, manages hospital operations and works closely with the administrator and chief financial officer on budgeting, strategic planning and organizational development.
Her responsibilities include addressing operational challenges, improving business processes, supporting regulatory compliance and increasing accountability across departments. Mrs. Wright also conducts weekly check-ins with directors and evaluates cost-saving opportunities while ensuring that financial decisions do not compromise patient care. Her leadership philosophy is grounded in the belief that a stable, supported workforce is essential to creating a safe and effective treatment environment.
In an interview with Marquis Who's Who, Mrs. Wright stated that recognizing the demands placed on employees working with patients in crisis is critical. She implemented a leadership training program for the management team to increase collaboration, strengthen communication and prepare employees for future responsibilities. She has also supported increased compensation for direct care staff and nurses, acknowledging their essential role as frontline caregivers.
Mrs. Wright's current initiatives also include supporting the launch of a trauma-focused program for women on the hospital's adult unit. SpringBrook Behavioral Health is reviewing its overall structure and updating long-standing programming to better align with current patient needs and organizational goals. The facility's services include acute adolescent care, residential adolescent treatment and adult programming, with careful separation of patient populations throughout the treatment day.
Speaking with Marquis Who's Who, Mrs. Wright emphasized the importance of increasing public awareness of high-acuity psychiatric services. She recognizes that families may never expect to need residential or locked treatment, but when a loved one experiences a serious crisis, access to the appropriate level of care can be critical. She hopes to reduce the stigma surrounding these services and help families feel more comfortable seeking assistance before a situation becomes more severe.
Mrs. Wright is also concerned about gaps in the behavioral health continuum. While outpatient services and certain intensive programs are available, she notes that Level 2 and Level 3 step-down resources remain limited in many areas. Without sufficient transitional support, patients may struggle to maintain progress after discharge from short-term intensive care.
She encourages communities and policymakers to advocate for reimbursement structures that preserve access to mental health treatment at every level. "If you don't need the services, you hope never to encounter them, but when you do, it's heavy," she said. This awareness will help with funding the chronically underfunded mental health service industry.
Mrs. Wright began her career with SpringBrook Behavioral Health in 2013 as a direct care staff member. She advanced through several positions, including director of risk, director of quality, group living director and director of milieu services. Her work involved investigations, quality improvement, policy review, corrective action planning, insurance cases and collaboration with public relations and legal teams.
She also stated that from 2021 to 2023, she broadened her executive experience at Global Lending Services, where she became the first woman to serve as director of dealership recoveries. She managed four managers, oversaw approximately $18 million in monthly revenue and helped relocate a department to the Dominican Republic through coordination with analytics and information technology teams.
Her leadership has earned recognition through Women in Leadership, the South Carolina Business Magazine Leadership Award, Greenville's Best and Brightest and nominations for additional regional leadership honors. She also serves on SpringBrook Behavioral Health's Quality Leadership, Ethics and Client Rights committees.
Mrs. Wright attributes her success to a refusal to become complacent and a willingness to learn from both accomplishments and mistakes. She embraces servant leadership, values input from those around her and strives to make decisions that reflect integrity. For her, the most important question is not whether a decision is easy, but whether it is right for patients, staff and the organization.
Looking ahead, Mrs. Wright plans to develop stronger systems, prepare the next generation of leaders and continue improving public understanding of mental healthcare. Her goal is to create an organization that remains stable, compassionate and effective beyond her own tenure.
"Rebekah Wright exemplifies the caliber of healthcare leader Marquis Who's Who is proud to chronicle," the editorial team stated. "Her work in behavioral health operations, staff development and mental health advocacy reflects a career defined by authenticity, compassion and responsible leadership." Through its recognition of Mrs. Wright, Marquis Who's Who celebrates a professional whose efforts continue to strengthen behavioral health services and the people who provide them.
