Singular Sound is launching a new version of the Aeros looper pedal alongside its biggest firmware update yet. The Aeros Gold Edition now incorporates silent footswitches and allows users to craft 36 unique loops per song with up to 48 hours of recording capability.

Sound production equipment manufacturer, Singular Sound, has released their latest looper pedal: the Aeros Gold Edition. This is a new version of their highly lauded Aeros Loop Studio which incorporates silent footswitches perfect for small acoustic gigs and other settings where the noise of a footswitch can interfere with your sound. The footswitches were developed in-house with tight tolerances to reduce metal-on-metal friction (noise) and dampeners in several areas to help counter the sound of the thunking of the switch.
The looper pedal straddles the line between a traditional looper and a DAW — and it fits on your pedalboard! It enables you to craft 36 unique loops per song, add unlimited overdubs to each loop, and record up to 48 hours onto an SD card. Simultaneous parallel and sequential looping unlock an entire universe of creative possibilities.
The Aeros Gold Edition launches alongside Singular Sound's biggest-ever update for the Aeros Loop Studio, 5.0.0. The update will bring important new capabilities, like:
- Auto quantizing
- Auto recording
- Backing tracks
- Multi-time signature/tempo support
The new update also makes the Aeros even easier to use thanks to the rework of the UI on the touch screen to support more streamlined hands-free operation as well as provide more vital information at a glance on the 4.3" full-color touch screen.
These new features build on the many great (and free) improvements made to the looper in the years since its release including, but not limited to:
- Locked Tracks
- Crossfade on loop seems and fade in/out on start/stop
- Reverse audio effect
- Enhanced audio routing
- Revamped user interface
- Expanded MIDI functionality with new commands and more configurability
- Optimized memory usage of track recording, allowing 20 minutes of mono audio to be recorded in a track (10m stereo)
- Added Dynamic Read Memory, allowing up to 10 hours of recording per song
- Added language options
- Added expression pedal volume control
