A Book that Reveals Century-Old Issue the World is Still Facing

GLENEDEN BEACH, Ore. - December 1, 2021 - Author CD Harper writes an explosive book of short stories, “Without Redemption: Slavery and that Elusive American Promise of a More Perfect Union”. These stories reveal a century-old issue the world is still facing—slavery, indignities, inequality, and inhumane treatment. Still, these are the current issues that reflect the impact of slavery.

Harper harnesses the reader’s mind to understand the past, and why it is difficult to grapple with the present. His short stories confront the legacy of slavery and the consciousness not to go back to the way things were.

These stories came out at the moment when many of us still hope for the future, free from the ill-effects of slavery which undoubtedly still exists and devastates so many lives worldwide, most especially children.  Each of Harper’s stories intersperses the pictures of the long struggle for rights, freedom, and equality and he places character and life at the very heart of his stories to see these characters afresh.

“Without Redemption: Slavery and that Elusive American Promise of a More Perfect Union” will enlighten, inform, and inspire you to read and share the new information as we walk through this time of crisis. It may be difficult to put this book down once you start reading these stories of courage and triumph. After all, the most important keys to ending slavery are to educate, advocate, and act on behalf of those in bondage; and Harper’s stories are just what every reader needs to gain awareness.
