A continued surge in new cases of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, including another record one-day rise globally and with more than three-fourths of the U.S. states seeing an increase in cases, has prompted calls for new shutdown measures, at a time that President Trump claimed that he is now immune and can’t transmit it to others.
