How long does the battery last? A. "The rechargeable battery keeps Spartan HUD running for 8 - 12 hours, depending on usage patterns."
Will I be able to use Spartan HUD with glasses/contacts? A. "Yes, Spartan HUD will fit most standard glasses and eyewear (contacts are fine too). Adjustable magnification internal to the optics allows a comfortable visual experience for all."
What head sizes will fit? A. "With our adjustable easy-twist lock strap, all standard head sizes covering 99.5% of the population should fit. If for whatever rare reason it doesn't work for you, we'll offer you a full refund."
Does Spartan HUD stay logged in all the time? A. "Yes, by default settings that can be changed. You can also add a pin or text password to boot in via the included keyboard controller."
Can I request custom add-ons or changes, like sensors, battery, CPU specs, etc? A. "Yes - the reward options we have represented a small subset of what we could do with Spartan HUD. Can I upgrade the storage of the Flagship unit? A. "Yes, through USB devices and/or the micro SD slot."
Is it weatherproof? A. "At this time, the Spartan HUD Flagship model is not recommended to submerge in water or other extreme weather phenomena. Future versions later this year will have more capabilities in this regard, some released as add-ons for the flagship model."
Can I use Spartan HUD like a regular computer?" A. Yes, we are making available the full desktop suite of the default operating system, as well as our initial software. The on-board computer can also connect to other displays via HDMI or VGA. You'll be able to use the helmet like a desktop computer and plug into an external monitor!"
Can I upgrade and swap components? A. "Yes, the Spartan HUD Flagship edition was specifically designed to be very extensible and customizable. Everything from the computer to sensors to battery can be swapped and/or upgraded. Contact us for more info."
How does it charge? A. "We include a high powered wall outlet charger. Quick charging can replenish the battery in 1-2 hours."
Are any features likely to change between now and delivery of the first units? A. "Some technical features are subject to change, but this is mainly due to factors such as swapping one similarly powered CPU for another comparable one (due to supplier constraints). The aesthetics could have somewhat of an overall, and we'll be sure to keep backers posted for feedback and approval. Additionally, we're looking at sneaking in a few extra components free-of-charge, such as mounted flashlights."
What if I have any problems with product defects, need to return, etc? A. "Contact us within 30 days after receiving your Spartan HUD. If our support staff can't help you remotely, feel free to ship back your merchandise and receive a full refund, or apply for a replacement."

How long have you been building Spartan HUD, and what were the biggest challenges? A. "We started conceptualizing in early 2020 and quickly moved on to prototype iterations thereafter, culminating in our crowd-funding campaign coming within the next week or so. The main challenges included finding the right cost-benefit trade-offs for various features when combining all the technology. Another major challenge was being cost-efficient and somewhat creative with prototyping, as we started the company with a small amount of personal savings, and have held off on outside investment. We want to maintain a laser-tight focus on the vision and execution before we bring in any outside resources, to make sure we're targeting something the people want."
