BRShield Biostatic Surface Protection

A significant breakthrough in inhibiting the spread of COVID-19 by preventing surfaces from being contaminated by the virus and stopping the spread via contact with contaminated surfaces.

Singapore, Jul 28, 2020 (Issuewire.com) - Big Red residual antimicrobial surface coating called BRShield has been proven to eradicate SARS-CoV-2 on surfaces and provides the continuous long-lasting virucidal activity. According to experts, this product represents a 'significant breakthrough' in inhibiting the spread of COVID-19.

Big Red's commercial partner, Acme India commissioned the testing of BRShield with scientific laboratory evaluations at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB) under the name AIShield. The tests were performed following the PCR based CoVid 19 Gold Standard protocol, which demonstrated an unequivocal 99.99% (4 Log Kill) within 5 minutes.

The report stated:

"In the present study, SARS-CoV-2 specific RNA was not detected in the product code AISC-313 after 5 minutes of treatment indicating rupturing of the viral envelope. It has significantly enhanced the antiviral log reduction and reduces viral infectivity by 99.99% reduction of the virus within 5 minutes"

BRShield is a durable long-lasting chemically bonded residual antimicrobial coating containing a quaternary based organo-silane compound. This scientifically proven chemical formula is unique in that it bonds chemically at the molecular level onto any surface. Once chemically bonded, the surface coating cannot be removed by routine cleaning, including the regular use of alcohol, acid or alkaline-based detergents. Therefore, once bonded to the treated surface, it will provide consistent, residual protection against 99% of all known pathogens and deliver a 99.99% or 4 log reductions in their numbers 24/7 for at least 180 days.

The official laboratory report was endorsed by India's Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS) and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

Dr Martin A. Blake, Big Red's in-house Preventive Medicine Advisor, responded to the news by saying: "This represents a significant breakthrough in inhibiting the spread of COVID-19 by preventing surfaces from being contaminated by the virus and stopping the spread via contact with contaminated surfaces. Having unequivocal validation from a prestigious laboratory only adds further credibility."

Mr Manish Mishra, the CEO of Acme India, stated:  "The results of the tests conducted clearly demonstrate that 'AIShield' eradicates SARS-CoV-2. This product is unique in its long-lasting ability and far exceeds conventional disinfectants which make it a significant weapon against COVID-19. We now have validation to support our commercial mandate."
