URBANherbal Partners With Artists in the Texas Hill Country to Release a Feminine Scent Inspired by the Garden Moonlight

FREDERICKSBURG, Texas - December 10, 2019 - (Newswire.com)

One evening last fall, Bill Varney and Oswaldo Mera of Fredericksburg’s natural toiletry retail shop and gardens URBANherbal invited a group of 24 area painters to the property. The gardens were closed, but the group had gathered to participate in a contest to browse the acre of herbs and flowers at dusk, allow them to become their muse, and then reinterpret the scents on canvas.

Varney explained, “The evening, indeed, is when night-scented plants come into their own, releasing their sweet fragrances as the sun calls it a day.”

A panel of nine art critics chose Barbara B. Loyd’s vibrant-colored painting on black background as the winner. Her painting takes center stage as the label on bottles of Garden Moonlight, the latest in a line of naturally sophisticated scents created by URBANherbal. Both Loyd’s painting and the perfume reflect URBANherbal’s artisan tradition. The fragrance launch party is this Thursday evening, Dec. 12, at URBANherbal.
